Palliative Care: A Shifting Paradigm

The headline speaker is Charles von Gunten, MD, PhD, Provost at the Institute for Palliative Medicine at San Diego Hospice and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Palliative Medicine. Dr. Gunten will discuss implementation of palliative care into the practice of oncology in an effort to highlight the important and evolving relationship between the two disciplines. Several other topics will be presented by speakers from departments across LSU Health Shreveport.  

Earn up to 5.00 AMA PRA continuing education credits at no cost August 10 if employed at LSU Health Shreveport. Credits are available for physicians, nurses, social workers and other health care professionals. Register at the CME office with this brochure.
